Mr. Downs has been the Manager of Anderson & Strudwick's Corporate Finance Department since 1990. During that time, he has arranged and managed offerings, both public and private, using a variety of debt and equity structures. Mr. Downs engages in raising funds for both domestic and international companies. Prior to 1990, Mr. Downs was employed by Scott & Stringfellow, Incorporated for seven years and was responsible for large tax-exempt debt offerings. Mr. Downs' most recent experience involves various innovative structures for both REITs and companies engaged in a variety of industries.

Mr. Martin’s primary role is new business development, relationship management, and investment banking transaction structure and execution. With over fifteen years in the financial services arena, Mr. Martin has experience in buy and sell side mergers and acquisitions, branch acquisitions and divestitures, capital planning and formation, strategic planning, asset/liability and risk management, loan review, and commercial credit.
Prior to joining Anderson & Strudwick, Mr. Martin was a Director with Sterne Agee & Leach and William R. Hough & Co. where he focused on the financial services industry. Mr. Martin was also a Managing Director at Baxter Fentriss, a nationally ranked investment banking firm. Prior to entering the investment banking field, Mr. Martin spent eight years directly in the commercial banking industry.
Mr. Martin graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a dual B.S. in Finance and Economics. He also received his M.S. in Finance, with honors, from Virginia Commonwealth University. top

Mr. Schreck is Senior Vice President for Anderson & Strudwick focusing on merger, acquisition and financing transactions for financial institutions. In addition, Mr. Schreck is spearheading the strategic partnership between Anderson & Strudwick and Fidelity Financial Group which is dedicated to assisting lending institutions with the divestiture of sub- and non-performing loans and loan portfolios. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Institutional Fixed Income at Ryan Beck & Co. and served for fifteen years as Vice President, Financial Institutions Group, Merrill Lynch, Inc. after starting his career as a fixed income institutional representative for the Financial Institutions Group at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1985.
With twenty-plus years of experience in fixed income investments, interest rate risk, balance sheet management, funding sources and structures, and mortgage/mortgage derivative securities, Mr. Schreck has advised community banks, thrifts, investment counselors, insurance companies and local governments in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Additionally, Mr. Schreck has provided management, communication and education to private trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals.
Mr. Schreck graduated from Millersville State University with a B.A. in Political Science and studied Finance at the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business. top

Mr. Gushman is responsible for merger and corporate finance analysis in the investment banking division. This responsibility includes strategic analysis of companies, coordination of private placement offerings, deal valuations, as well as buyer, seller, and industry research. Prior to joining Anderson & Strudwick, Mr. Gushman was a Bank and Thrift Analyst at SNL Financial, LC where he covered approximately 90 companies located throughout the United States. This position required detailed examination of the institutions financials, M&A activity, insider information, and corporate news for reporting purposes and research products.
Mr. Gushman received his M.B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and his B.A. from James Madison University. top
