David S. Ellington has joined the investment firm of Anderson & Strudwick as Senior Vice President and Retail Sales Director. He will be working with the firm’s branch network to help develop and execute sales strategies.

Ellington rejoins the Richmond-based investment firm from Merrill Lynch who acquired Advest earlier this year. During his nine years at Advest, Dave managed the Richmond branch office and then was promoted to Complex Manager overseeing retail operations in Richmond, Washington, D.C., Lutherville, MD and Lexington, VA.

“Dave brings to Anderson & Strudwick a strong track record and an understanding of the future direction of the investment industry that will help our firm in the years ahead,” said President and CEO George Nolde. “The fact that he worked at Anderson & Strudwick prior to assuming the management position at Advest, is a real plus. Also returning to Anderson & Strudwick is Liz Nobles who has been named Executive Assistant supporting Nolde, Ellington and COO Ruth Yates. She had previously worked with Ellington at Anderson & Strudwick and Advest.
