June 14, 2006
Anderson & Strudwick is sponsoring today, June 14th, at the Virginia Holocaust Museum. The firm will be recognized today and throughout the weekend with signs at the Museum.
If you haven’t visited the museum, you should. It is much more than a few artifacts and pictures from the Nazi era. The story of how millions of Jews, gypsies, Poles, societal “misfits”, homosexuals and even U.S. Servicemen endured unspeakable torture and death during the reign of Hitler is told through sight and sound as you move through the museum’s many “rooms.”
You will leave the museum with a better appreciation of what some of our neighbors and their parents/grandparents experienced, and with a profound appreciation of the freedoms we enjoy and role our parents played in bringing an end to the Third Reich. You will also leave with a reminder of how vigilant we all must be to ensure that our freedoms are not compromised and that members of our society are not marginalized.
Anderson and Strudwick's sponsorship is ensuring that admission will be free for all visitors throughout this weekend. The Virginia Holocaust Museum is located on Cary Street at E. 20th in Richmond. There is free parking right across the street, so plan a visit today.
