Unit Investment Trust

A Unit Investment Trust is a fixed, sector-specific portfolio of securities such as equities, corporate bonds, municipal bonds or government bonds. The UIT portfolio remains fixed until a set maturity date, and therefore is not managed. UITs are highly liquid.
